Just thought that this was cool, I like things about the nature of evil
Sauron was the master of the One Ring. Every evil action can be traced back to him. Yet, because we ever are introduced into conversation with him, we know very little of his motivation, hatred or lust for power. What we know is what others share with us. We hate Sauron because our heroes do. Watching over it all, moving behind the scenes like some player in an Internet chess game, he was the embodiment of evil but, he is not the true villain of Lord of the Rings.
Gollum was a selfish creature and ultimately we despise him because his motivation was purely self motivated. It was his 180 degree removal from his own 'humanity' (or hobbit sense) that made him despicable, but he was not the
villain of LOTR.
Saruman wanted to be on the winning side at any price. If he could not have the One Ring, he wanted a share of the power. Though we hated Saruman for betraying the trust of friends and allies, it was the object of his desire that was
the real villain in "Lord Of The Rings": the One Ring.
Some people insist that it is the Ring's ability to overcome free will that makes it evil but even Tolkien could not go so far as to rob his characters of their free will. What made the One Ring truly evil was it's ability to turn good intentions into the will of evil. What the Ring does is take good intentions and bend them to the will of evil.
The Ring is like radiation. Limited exposure does no harm and may even be used for good, but prolonged exposure can cause sickness, even when used to battle other ills. More exposure can so change the cells in an exposed body that they become unrecognizable to the host. Gollum's exposure to the Ring changed him so that he was no longer recognizable as the hobbit like creature he once was.
The Ring had the insidious ability to take what they loved most and use it as the catylist for corruption. Boromir desired the Ring to save Gondor and the race of men. It was a noble goal that motivated him to seek the Ring. Under
constant temptation his desire became lust. Eventually his goal is so corrupted he is willing to toss aside his nobler goal of guiding the Fellowship. The ring had corrupted Boromir so that he went from guardian of the ringbearer to a man willing to forcibly take the Ring from Frodo. His actions, encouraged by the Ring, transformed him from guardian and guide to antagonist. The same holds true for Frodo. He offered himself as a sacrifice so that his friends and home could be spared. It was through his selflessness that the Ring found a way to corrupt him. By refusing to share his burden, though motivated by compassion for his peers, Frodo gave the Ring a path to his ultimate downfall. His failure was ultimately the same failure that tangled Gollum: Selfishness.
What made the Ring so dangerous to all who possessed it was, the Ring used any abilities or goals that the bearer had. Galadriel in "Fellowship Of The Ring" says:*'Did not Gandalf tell you that the rings give power according to the measure of each possessor? Before you could use that power you would need to become far stronger, and to train your will to the domination of others.' Through the power of the Ring even the very meek could fall to evil.
Ultimately it is not the goal of the bearer that corrupts, it is in the application of power upon others. Tolkien may have been warning us that even the best intentions can be corrupted through the application of power or through acts
of selfishness.

Well about the confirmation retreat:
There was this one kid, Matt, he was being teased and all, I mean, it was acting all gay and all, and well on the last day he had all these scraches on his wrist, a lot of them, me and another leader noticed, and told one of the Adult leaders. yadda yadda, and they he said that they already talked to him and they were just scraches.
well that day at the very end, at the last little group talk, he was sitting next to me, he turns to me shows me his wrist and asked if I had any makeup that would cover it up, making it very blantent that he was just showing off that he did that, I of course did react in anyway and said no.
I mean the thing that really got me steamed was that he was just doing that to show off, and well that was just so.. gad!! I just wanted to slap him. he is so annoying it is not funny. I mean why did he have to show it to me, thrusting his wrist into my face, showing off!!! GAD I am just really steamed.... I didn't react the way that he wanted me so so he didn't talk to me the rest of the time, not that that was a bad thing... gad some people I just want to slap for being so stupid.

Well there isn't much to do, PE was tough, well I only fell over about 3 times, I really don't like Tae Bo. I just can't do those high kicks, my legs and body don't do that stuff, the rest of the day was on, the morning was horrid, I was talking to my friends, I guess that i was talking kinda loud, I was told to quite down and I did, BUT then the biggest bitch ever, has to add her 2cents in and shouted "shut up no one wants to hear you!" I mean, it isn't the first time she has done this, a while back, for one of my classes, we had to ask for money to give to a charity and well I had to ask my homeroom class to give. well I got up infront of the class and was trying to get the classes attetion, so I started to talk, and guess who shouts to the whole class "shut up, no one wants to hear YOU talk."
yeah well this suck.
I hate her, I hate her, I hate her friends, I hate her personality, I hate the way she looks I hate her... well I guess that I will just have to not kill her, I might get in trouble, not that many will miss her, well at least I won't... grrrrrr

So yeah, what does this say about me, anyway? I feel your pain. Your pain and anger is locked up inside your head, and you're gonna pop your cork sooner or later if something doesn't change. Everything you see and experience is copied in your head, and you play it back like a movie, instead of looking at things right in front of you. But do you even have a choice?
The truth is, yes, you do have a choice. You can flit around in your head and shut out the people around you in some catatonic depression, or you can find someone to talk to. Okie this is the first entry, no over acheving here just need a place to vent and such, and also I don't think my dear friend Pada like reading all my problems, I mean she it is not like she can do anything, she lives very far away from here. Well it being sunday and all, I have all my homework to do, I hate homework, well, not as much Chem homework, but I am not liking fellow apush students, must we all have to write the essay and highlight all the topic sentences, not like I am perfect when it comes to writing, it is just that I have had this all drilled into my head when I was younger, and well I don't like having to relearn this stuff. Oh well life sucks right? or am I the only one stil believing that?
